This is our son’s first year in Montessori (he joined in Grade 1), and even in this short time we’ve seen a remarkable difference in him. He’s naturally shy and takes his time to warm up to new environments, yet Phoenix has gently helped build his confidence — the beautiful part is they don’t force it; they allow it to grow at his own pace.
Every day he’s excited to tell me what he worked on. He isn’t just memorizing — he’s learning how to learn. There are no shortcuts. He’s developing independence, curiosity, and real critical thinking skills. In a world where answers are instantly available, the ability to think, question, and problem-solve is what truly matters and what will make the difference.
The teachers and everyone who work at Phoenix are incredible — genuine people who clearly love what they do. You can hear the passion when you speak with them. We started at Phoenix back in 2018, when our oldest child was 11 months. It was a wonderful, convenient option for childcare, but we didn't have experience with Montessori and hadn't intended for our son to stay beyond casa. Seven years and two children later, we've never left. All environments - from nido through casa and elementary - have been exceptional for fostering independence and a love of learning. The guides are so well trained and passionate. With a child-led approach to each day, I genuinely feel like Phoenix has provided an environment where my kids enjoy learning and can do so in a way that feels right for them - including lots of movement, problem solving and conflict resolution. Our family has experienced a lot of change over the past few years and I'm grateful for the stability and community Phoenix has provided.

Our daughter joined Phoenix Montessori in YCC and is now in the final year of the Casa program. We have been very pleased with the level of care she has received in her learning and development throughout. The school has helped our daughter develop early leadership qualities, an enjoyment of learning and desire to be helpful to those around her. The guides and school staff are personable, kindly invested in our daughters success and easy to communicate with as a parent.
