Maria Montessori made the unfortunate error of never protecting her name, allowing "Montessori" to be public domain. In effect anyone who wishes can call themselves a Montessori school, without any effort to properly follow Maria Montessori's carefully developed theory and pedagogy.

MONTESSORI QUALITY ASSURANCE
We have undergone an accreditation process in our Casa classrooms to ensure that we are running a proper Montessori program. This accreditation ensures that the Guides in the classroom are holders of the A.M.I. Primary diplomas, that the materials in the room are only those which have been approved by the A.M.I. pedagogy, that the environment is arranged in such a way so as to maximize the children's independence and development.
We are honoured to have been given this designation and will continue to maintain and develop our programming in order to comply with their standards.
