A Typical Day in the Young Children's Community

Before care is available from 7:30 until 8:10. This is available as a prepaid service or on an as needed basis, if space is available within ratios. 
8:15-8:30 - children arrive in the classroom and remove their outdoor clothes and put on indoor shoes
8:30-10:15 - children work and the guide gives presentations; snack
10:15 - children get ready to go outside
10:30-11:30 - the children enjoy outdoor time in the playground
11:30-12:30 - lunch
12:30 - half day children go home and full day children nap
2:30 - children wake up from nap and enjoy a snack
3:00 - children get ready to go outside
3:30 - children are picked up or join the After School Program until 5:15 
This is available as a prepaid service or on a regular as needed basis.

Upon arrival, children remove and put away their outdoor clothing and put on their indoor shoes.

This child is preparing lemon water to be a part of the class' morning snack.

These children are helping the guide to cut and serve the cheese for snack.

The children set the table and then sit together to enjoy a morning snack.

The children play independently, in small groups or with the supervisory staff while outdoors.

These children are gathering the blocks that were specially made for outdoor use.

The children serve lunch to each other and eat together with their teachers.

After lunch, some children go home; other children rest for a period of time.

Upon waking the children will enjoy an afternoon snack and go outside.
