A Typical Day in Elementary

Before care is available from 7:30 until 8:10. This is available as a prepaid service or on an as needed basis, if space is available within ratios. 
8:15-8:30 – arrival
8:30-9:00 – journal writing
9:00-11:25 – work cycle (may include gym and or music)
11:25-12:30 – get ready to go outside/recess
12:30-1:15 – change into indoor things/lunch
1:15-3:00 – clean up after lunch/work cycle (includes French and/or
​     music specialist and/or reading specialist)
3:00-3:10 – clean up and class meeting
3:10-3:30 – get ready to go home or join aftercare until 5:15

Once the children have arrived, they begin their day by recording in their journal.

The children receive lessons from the classroom guide in small groups.  Those who are not receiving a lesson work together in small groups or individually.

At the end of the day, children go outside to after school program or get picked up at their cubbies.
